Moteh Parrott is an Edinburgh-based alternative-indie-folk artist from The Highlands via Africa.

Born in Cameroon to parents working in rainforest conservation and given the local name ‘Mnkongmoteh’, his music compliments Celtic-infused guitars and cello with lyrics of hope and healing. The result has been likened to "a Highland wilderness with all the sweeping colour and spirit which that encompasses".

Shortlisted for BBC Radio Scotland’s Singer-Songwriter of the Year Award, Moteh recently released his debut album, which was recorded at Chem19 studios with Paul Savage, producer of Mogwai, Arab strap, and King Creosote, among other renowned Scottish artists.
